Oban

The next leg of our tour was as funny as always with the girls playing their new game of trying to catch everything before it flies off the table.

We stopped at a beautiful town called Oban which has fantastic restaurants and a good selection of shops. It is a very picturesque town…

We managed to park the beast in the Tesco car park and then we ventured to the promenade. We got straight on to a boat to view the seal colony. It was fantastic to be on a boat on such a glorious day and the scenery was again breathtaking. We passed one island with only 40 inhabitants and no water mains… we managed to see 4 seals- woohoo.

Lunch was out of this world. We stopped at a seafood shack just next to the ferry terminal which was very popular, and rightly so! For 30 quid we had oysters, lobster, prawns, mussels and scallops. All extremely fresh. Perhaps the best meal so far.

Then back on the road to Fort William and our next night in the Glen Nevis Caravan Park at the foot of Ben Nevis. Along the route we were keen to point out as many bridges as possible to the girls..

The Let’s see how high we can get the girls to climb tomorrow!

Here are some bonus pics of the scenery en route…
